Reminder: Print Making Workshop with Katherine Kennedy – 5th May
Reminding everyone that Macquarie Towns Arts Society will have a full day Print Making Workshop 10am to 3pm with Katherine Kennedy on the 5th of May. In the morning session, Katherine will introduce the concept of social art whilst viewing ‘DPD’ as a case study and demo coffee plate making followed by participation in the creation of individualised plate tests. The afternoon session will cover introduction to DPD Performance, set-design & creation and inking & printing workshop. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to take away their coffee order print and ghost print, own test plate
MTAS Meeting & Demonstration 14th May – John Rice – Landscape in Oils
Macquarie Towns Arts Society is very happy to have John Rice to demonstrate Landscape in Oils at their next monthly meeting on 14th May, 7:30pm at the Stan Stevens Studio, Deerubbin Centre, George St, Windsor. John paints almost exclusively in oils and is inspired by the strong light of the Australian landscape. He enjoys painting the landscape from life, “en plein air”, and engages in regular painting trips to country locations.
