John learned most of his painting skills from getting out there and painting thousands of paintings. His primary influences have been the Heidleberg School of Australian impressionists and the work of Sir Hans Heysen. Art In Action is on again! A wonderful long weekend 17th, 18th & 19th May providing a unique opportunity for local artists to learn new techniques and styles with the very best tutors from across Australia and New Zealand. Art In Action allows the local art community to come together and celebrate their artistic interests. Reminder: Print Making Workshop with Katherine Kennedy – 5th May
Reminding everyone that Macquarie Towns Arts Society will have a full day Print Making Workshop 10am to 3pm with Katherine Kennedy on the 5th of May. In the morning session, Katherine will introduce the concept of social art whilst viewing ‘DPD’ as a case study and demo coffee plate making followed by participation in the creation of individualised plate tests. The afternoon session will cover introduction to DPD Performance, set-design & creation and inking & printing workshop. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to take away their coffee order print and ghost print, own test plate
